Riddle-Me-Ree!

Are you any good at solving riddles? After the talk at Topsham Museum in 2011 about the beautifully-written Anglo-Saxon riddles contained in The Exeter Book at the Cathedral Library, Topsham calligrapher Alma Swan began to think long and hard about riddles.

In the end she set to work to write her own riddles on the subject of places and things in Topsham.

She has composed a dozen delighfully cryptic riddles which are now produced in book form, all written out in her enchanting calligraphy and colourfully illustrated with her own watercolour painting. Test your wits by reading the book and puzzling over the twelve riddles!

Entitled Twelve Topsham Riddles, the book is available in The Topsham Bookshop.
